Have you heard of BakBalls? Have you used them? If you have, then you'll know why they are so great to use. If you haven't, then you need to :) They are one of the best self help tools you can use!

Light and compact, pop them in your bag, take them with you. It's like having a massage when you're not able to get one.

So what are bakballs?

They are a portable self-treatment device that allows you to relieve back pain and stiffness in the comfort of your own home, car or office. BakBalls help to relieve back pain and stiffness by lying on them on the floor or leaning against a wall on them. BakBalls produce maximum pain relief as their unique patented design exerts localised pressure directly onto painful stiff joints and tight muscles, replicating a physiotherapy or massage treatment. BakBalls can also prevent back pain in the long term by improving your posture into a more ideal upright sitting and standing posture.

Why are they so popular?

Because they work! BakBalls relieve back pain and stiffness. The patented BakBalls were designed by an expert sports physiotherapist for the Australian Olympic team and university post-graduate lecturer with over 15 years of clinical experience who is also a back pain sufferer. BakBalls have been endorsed by the esteemed Australian Physiotherapy Association

How do I use them?

Lie on your bed, the floor or lean against a wall. Position the BakBalls evenly between your shoulder blades. You can gently roll up and down the wall or simply lie on the BakBalls, allowing the pressure to stimulate tight muscles. To start with, you may only be able to use them for a few minutes at a time. As your body becomes more accustomed to the pressure, you will find you can use them for longer. Just be sure not to fall asleep while using them! You’ll most likely wake up with a dead arm or leg!

Where do I use them?

BakBalls can be used on almost any area where the muscles are stiff and tight. The most common areas are the spinal muscles, buttocks, and between the shoulder blades. They are designed to work the muscles that are attached either side of the spine so there is no reason to put pressure directly on the spinal cord. If at first you they are too hard to lie on, try placing a towel or thin pillow over the BakBalls to reduce the pressure. As your body becomes more accustomed to the pressure, the towel or pillow can be removed.
